| Hydro Power Search Quicklinks Quick Download Hydro Power Hydro Power Hydro Power 17.04.2008 EDP Gestí£o da Produí§í£o de Energia S.A. has awarded Andritz VA TECH HYDRO and ENSUL MECI a contract for the extension of Bemposta power station in Portugal. The total order value is approximately 53 MEUR, thereof approximately 40 MEUR for Andritz VA TECH HYDRO. 04.04.2008 Andritz VA TECH HYDRO has been awarded a major refurbishment contract by Alcan Aluminium UK, a subsidiary of Rio Tinto Alcan, in the amount of approximately EUR 30 million for the supply, installation and commissioning of five new turbine generator units at Lochaber power station in Scotland. 26.03.2008 Andritz VA TECH HYDRO, through its affiliate VA TECH Escher Wyss S.r.I. in Schio / Italy, was awarded another contract for a hydro power plant refurbishment from the utility ENDESA Italia S.p.A.. After three orders awarded in 2007 (modernization of the hydro power stations Galleto, Baschi and Alviano), ENDESA Italia has now assigned the modernization of the so called Monte SantAngelo'section in the power plant Galleto.
